Abstract
Ovim radom opisana je povijest programskih jezika, njihova svrha te različite vrste jezika. Također je opisan razvoj programskog jezika Python, njegove značajke te kako je do njega došlo. Navedene su brojne prednosti Pythona te isto tako i mane. Pobliže se govori o mnogim funkcijama jezika, način na koji se u njemu piše te koje su mu najbitnije karakteristike. Isto tako je jezik Python uspoređen s ostalim danas poznatim jezicima te navedene prednosti i nedostaci između njih. U praktičnom dijelu, prikazan je program napisan Pythonovom sintaksom sa svrhom rada nad tekstualnom datotekom te su dijelovi koda pobliže opisani kako bi bolje shvatili njihovu funkciju.
Abstract (english)
This work describes the history of programming languages, their purpose and different types of languages. It also describes the development of the Python programming language, its features and how it came about. Numerous advantages and disadvantages of Python are listed. Many functions of the language, the way it is written and what are its most important characteristics are discussed in more detail. The Python language is also compared with other languages known today, and the advantages and disadvantages between them are listed. In the practical part, a program written in Python syntax with the purpose of working on a text file is presented and parts of the code are described in more detail in order to better understand their function.
