Abstract
Penetracijsko testiranje važna je uloga u procjeni sigurnosti računalnog sustava, aplikacija i cjelokupne mreže. Simulacijom napada ukazuje se na sigurnosne propuste organizacije ili pojedinca. Svrha provedbe testova je identifikacija ranjivosti prije nego što se iste iskoriste. Redovito testiranje ključan je segment sigurnosti organizacije. Pomaže organizacijama steći uvid u potencijalne prijetnje te se na iste dobro pripremiti. Analiza, planiranje, otkrivanje, iskorištavanje i izvješćivanje definirani su koraci provedbe penetracijskog testiranja. Posebno je važno upozoriti ljude i organizacije na opasnost od napada koji može nanijeti ogromnu štetu kako samoj tvrtki, tako i organizaciji u cjelini. Uz porast kibernetičkih napada, testiranje bi trebalo postati obveznim dijelom sigurnosne zaštite ako organizacije žele držati korak sa sigurnosnim prijetnjama koje napadači mogu predstavljati.
Abstract (english)
Penetration testing plays an important role in assessing the security of computer systems, applications and the entire network. Simulating an attack indicates the security flaws of an organization or an individual. The purpose of conducting tests is to identify vulnerabilities before they are exploited. Regular testing is a key segment of organizational security. It helps organizations gain insight into potential threats and prepare well for them. Analysis, planning, detection, exploitation and reporting are the defined steps of performing penetration testing. It is especially important to warn people and organizations about the danger of an attack that can cause enormous damage to both the company itself and the organization as a whole. With cyberattacks on the rise, testing should become a mandatory part of security protection if organizations want to keep up with the security threats attackers can pose.
